Between hanging on every word from the Founders and keynote speakers, oohing and ahhing over the irresistible accessories showcased on stage, and taking notes on the hottest fashion trends hitting the runway this fall, you’re likely feeling a little haute hysteria.
And you’re probably bubbling over with hundreds of ideas sparked by conversations with team members and new acquaintances as you perused the Hall of Fame, Zi Collection Showroom, and The Preview.
But now that the spotlights have dimmed, the crowds have dissipated, and you’re back to work, you may wonder how you can grow your retail empire by applying what you learned at convention.
You’re in luck! We put together a three-step action plan, inspired by our Dare to Dream theme, to help you step outside your comfort zone and turn your dreams into reality.
Step 1: Identify Your Dreams and Set Audacious Goals
Identifying your dreams is the first step in turning your post-convention aspirations into tangible success. This foundational step is all about envisioning your future and mapping out a clear path to get there.
Taking time to understand what you want and how you’ll get there will enable you to set goals that inspire you and challenge you to grow beyond your current compensation level or Life of the Party access level.
So, how do you identify your dreams and set audacious goals? Let’s break it down.
Take Time for Self-Reflection
Begin by taking some quiet time for self-reflection. Sit down with your notes from convention and highlight a few of the lightbulb moments you jotted down.
What sparked your interest? Why were you excited about the concept shared? This introspection will help you gain clarity around what you want to achieve in the next week, month, and year with your Paparazzi Accessories business.
Create a Vision Board
Now that you’ve taken time to reflect and revisit all of the amazing lightbulb moments you had at convention, it’s time to create a visual reminder of your dreams. Using images, words, and symbols that resonate with your dreams, create a visual representation that will serve as a daily reminder of your aspirations and keep you motivated as you work towards them.
Define Your Goals
Now, with your dreams clearly defined and visually represented, it’s time to break them down into smaller, achievable steps. You can use the SMART goals system to create a clear roadmap that will make it easier to track your progress. Be sure to set goals that challenge and stretch you. Don’t be afraid to push past your comfort zone because that’s where the magic happens!
Step 2: Conquer Fear and Uncertainty
Daring to dream big means stepping into the unknown and embracing the challenges that come your way. Often, we let fear and uncertainty hold us back, but by acknowledging these obstacles and confronting them head on, you can transform them into stepping stones on your path to the top.
But how can you conquer fear when it’s standing in your way? Let’s talk about three steps you can take to overcome uncertainty and become the powerhouse maven you were meant to be!
Identify Limiting Beliefs
We all have thoughts and beliefs about what we’re capable of. Sometimes those beliefs are powerful motivators, but sometimes they are negative thoughts filled with self-doubt. These negative thoughts about your ability are called limiting beliefs.
How can you change them? Learn to recognize when a limiting belief invades your thoughts. Ask yourself if this thought is true or simply an unfounded fear. Then, quickly replace the limiting thought with a positive one. This practice will help reinforce to you that you are strong and capable. It will help you cultivate a growth mindset which will allow you to see all of the incredible possibilities waiting for you.
One Step At a Time
Big dreams can feel overwhelming, but breaking them down into smaller, manageable tasks makes them more achievable. Once you have your list of smaller tasks, focus on completing one at a time, and don’t forget to celebrate along the way!

Fail Forward

Instead of viewing failures as setbacks, see them as an incentive to keep showing up to dazzle the masses. With an unapologetic attitude, you’ll be able to make adjustments to your strategy and find better solutions.

Seek Feedback and Mentorship From Your Sponsor
